Over the month of November Mr Hindman, Mr Jackson, Mr Clarke, Mr Hill, Mr Luff and Mr Blewitt made the ‘brave’ decision to engage in the Movember movement. They grew different shaped moustaches as a symbol for better men’s health.
Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. With the charity funding more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men.
To help raise money for this charity, students were able to purchase raffle tickets to win the opportunity to shave off a staff member’s moustache.
The winners were Ava McGarry-Knightly (8Ridgeway), Bethan Few (12Wilson), Daniel Dickeson (7Otter), Jasim Rahman (12Burrows), Alexander Baynham (9Ridgeway) and Tilly Morgan (11Otter).
Thank you to everyone who donated.
