It was an exciting day at Computer Science in Action. Nine A’Level Computer Science students immersed themselves in a tech-packed itinerary:
- “Navigating UX Design" by Katrina Dargel. From basics to growth mindset, Katrina explored UX evolution and its role in innovation. Lead UX Researcher with experience at Ford and Airbus.
- "Smart Cities" by Professor Matthew Leeke, Matthew delved into ML algorithms and smart devices solving societal problems. Professor at the University of Birmingham.
- "The Quantum Computing Race" by Dr Nic Harrigan, Nic unlocked the mysteries of quantum mechanics and computing, explaining their transformative power. From PsiQuantum.
- Lunch break was a welcome pause and then there was an exam session with Professor Matthew Leeke.
- "Behind the Scenes of App Development" by Lyndsey Scott Lyndsey spilled secrets on app development, making them speedy, safe, and inclusive. Software engineer and coding educator.
We have all gained an invaluable insight into the future of computer science!
