Chess Club News

Our Chess Club has achieved remarkable success, and we couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments. The 21st May 2023 marked an exhilarating away match where our team emerged victorious in the chess tournament, triumphing over Chichester High School with a phenomenal score of 11.5 points to their 6.5 points. The skill and determination displayed by our students during this event are truly commendable, and we are filled with immense pride for their remarkable achievements.

On the 19th June we had a competition against Seaford School, where we won 26 points to against Seaford's 4 points. Seaford only managing to secure one win and two draws. On the 10th July, on our home turf, our team once again demonstrated their dominance over Chichester High School, emerging triumphant with an impressive score of 13.5 to Chichester's 3.5. The outstanding performance delivered by our Chess Club during this match was truly awe-inspiring.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Mrs Congalton for her exceptional efforts in organizing and facilitating these events. Her unwavering commitment and patience in accommodating our numerous requests have been invaluable throughout the entire process. We sincerely appreciate her dedication and support, as her contributions have played a significant role in our team's success.
