Fondant icing, gold edible glitter and shredded wheat as hay bales? It could only mean one thing on this cold Friday morning, Bake Off was back and the competition was on to win the golden Bake Off rolling pin trophy! In our Christmas technical challenge students were asked to create a gingerbread nativity scene. The results were stunning.
Reverend Paul Collins, Mr Hindman and Mrs Bradberry judged the entries on the quality of the gingerbread taste, texture and bake and crowned Amelie Mead (8 Andrewes) Star Baker. The judges praised the snap in her gingerbread biscuit and the warmth of the spices which had a delicious ginger zing. Congratulations to Amelie on her excellent bake.
All the judges highly praised the creativity, innovation and excellent detail of Jennifer Fitzgerald (9 Story) and Hayley Martin’s (9 Wilson) gingerbread nativity which was exceptional.
