Sports Tour 2023

Over the Easter holidays 32 pioneering students travelled to Barcelona for the school’s first ever international sports tour. The touring party was led by Mr Godfray, Miss Unitt, Mr Hill and Mr Blewitt.

During the trip students represented themselves to the highest of levels and were praised by different schools and coaches they came in contact with. The group enjoyed a wealth of opportunities including Portadventure Theme Park, local Spanish football fixtures, inter school football and netball competitions and a day out in Barcelona along with a tour around the Nou Camp football stadium.  All teams performed magnificently in their fixtures: U13 football WIN vs Pal de Santa Maria 3-0, U14 football WIN vs CF CUNNIT 5-0, U14 netball 5th place in Masterclass Netball Tournament and U13/U14 2nd place in their Masterclass Football Tournaments.

The trip was an overwhelming success that upheld both the values and vision of the school. The PE department are already planning the Sports Tour for Easter 2024 (hopefully including girls football and boys rugby to the travelling teams).  We would also like to add a huge thank you to Mr Alger for donating a room at Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa. The funds raised helped subsidise the playing kits for the travelling group, which looked fantastic.

Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming notifications and information letters regarding next year’s tour.
