A round up of some of the things that have been happening in Design Technology this half term. Year 7 students have been mastering marking, cutting and joining, along with some quality control. Their objective was to make a high quality product suitable for their target audience. They had to make sure that all their pieces were marked out accurately, and manufacture and assembly all the pieces with accuracy. As part of their quality control they had to check each part carefully.
Year 7s have also been practicing their cooking and mastering their knife skills by producing, planning and preparing a healthy salad.
Year 8 students have been developing their sewing machine skills with the support of Miss Witherow.
Some of the BLLP GreenPower 24 Team have been spending their Year 10 Work Experience week working on their car. It is looking amazing.

We also said goodbye to our Year 11 Design and Technology students. We wish them well with their forthcoming exams and their moves into further education.
