We have had a very exciting half term, full of celebrations. We have also seen the trophies being spread around the Houses: Story House won the House Drama, for the first time since 1988; King House won Sports Day; Burrows House won the Inter-House Games Cup; and, the big one – Andrewes House won the overall House Cup, meaning that they got more House Points than any other House this year!
Andrewes House was greatly helped by Luke Quail, who got the most House Points in the whole school, with 403.
We also awarded the Karen Goding Memorial Cup for the first time. The trophy will be awarded every year to someone who shows outstanding commitment to music and drama, which were very important to Mrs Goding. The first winner is Grace Watkins, 13Ridgeway, who produced, directed and appeared in ‘The Evolution of the Musical’.
Head Teacher Awards are given out at the end of the academic year to students who have shown outstanding commitment to their school and community. The following students received an Award for achieving the most House Points for their House/Year Group this academic year.
- Andrewes House & Year 8 – Luke Quail – 403 points
