We've got our Eco Flag!

We have been successful in our application to become an Eco School and will soon be the proud recipients of an Eco School Flag to fly outside school! This is what Eco Schools had to say about our application and all the hard work of our Eco Committee. Congratulations to all our students involved.

Congratulations! Fantastic work.

We are very pleased to tell you that you and your Eco-Committee at Bishop Luffa School have been awarded an Eco-Schools Green Flag.  We reviewed your application and noted the following:

We love how you have an open door policy for your Eco-Committee meetings, a great idea! Great minutes example. Great to hear that your Outdoor club continued after Green Week. Your Environmental Review raised some clear guidance for moving forward with your Action Plan. We love how you planned an Eco-Week to incorporate your curriculum links, it makes environmental education a celebration and ensures the whole school are involved. We love how litter picking has now become a competition! Great supporting evidence for the curriculum links. The parent quote is a great testament to the work that you are doing with your Eco-Committee, that they are taking the great work home with them and getting their families on board. We loved the Go Green noticeboard which had great details of all the events. An impressive number of litter picks arranged by the school, well done! We love how you have adapted your school values for your Eco-Code, great idea! What a wonderful idea to recycle old GCSE revision books. One all schools should adopt! Congratulations to everyone at Bishop Luffa for the great work you have managed to do, especially throughout the pandemic and lockdown. You should all be very proud of the amazing work you have done and the great application you have submitted.
