The annual House Drama took place at the end of June with all eight Houses performing their plays to their House and Sister House during House Drama/Enterprise Day. There were an exciting range of pieces this year including Narnia, The Lovely Bones, Things I Know to be True, Cloud Busting, The Wizard of Oz, The Addams Family, Animal Farm and for the first time in the history of House drama, a play written by students.
Three of the best House plays directed by Sixth Form students were then selected to compete for the Shippam Trophy in the final of the 2022 House Drama Festival.
The finalists were:
- George Orwell’s Animal Farm – Sherborne House, directed by Isobel Isobel Buckler and Wilf Kieran
- Things I Know To Be True – Story House, directed by Lily Barkes and Jess Spencer
- Cloud Busting – Burrows House, directed by Alex Webb and Amberley Norris
This event is not only a celebration of the incredible talent and creativity of students within the school but also of the dedication, passion and camaraderie that is nurtured through taking part in the Arts at Bishop Luffa.
During the finals, the students gave a taste of the professionalism and integrity that they bring to their work and we continue to be impressed by the standard that is achieved.
