Finally, after a two-year hiatus, the Arts Faculty’s Annual Fruition Evening was able to take place on a lovely summer evening in June. The evening was a huge success with all departments showcasing their fantastic work. Our audience were able to wander through the arts spaces absorbing the creative atmosphere. Family, friends and students were able to view an Art Exhibition presenting the work of GCSE and A Level Art students; enjoy Dance performances from KS3 Dance clubs, KS4 Dance enrichment and Year 10 BTEC Dance students; watch some extracts from this years’ House Drama Festival and experience performances from our wandering LAMDA actors and solo musicians. On the ‘bandstand’ there was a wide variety of musical performances from exam groups and extra-curricular Music clubs, and the Dance Studio became a cinema for the evening to showcase a range of GCSE Media Studies and A Level Media Studies projects.
It was a vibrant celebration of the work that staff and students create across the Arts subjects. I extend my thanks to all those involved and to the hard working PFA for providing the refreshments.
Here’s to Fruition 2023!
