Our Connect Bake Off Challenge took place today with students and staff given the task of baking six homemade hot cross buns. They could be as creative or traditional as they liked with their flavours and shape of buns.
Emily Pywell (9Andrewes) and Katie Barnett (9Andrewes) made a selection of traditional and chocolate caramel and honeycomb hot cross buns, whilst Amalee Evans (7Ridgeway) created cinnamon and lemon hot cross buns with an icing glaze. Meanwhile Thea Miller (7King) and Mrs Tyler made traditional hot cross buns.
Amalee was crowned Star Baker – judges Mr Hindman and Mrs Bradberry commended the flavour combination and lightness of the dough.
Congratulations to all the bakers for taking part.
