Our Year 11 students had a fantastic time at their Prom at the beginning of July, which took place in a marquee on the school grounds. This was a formal occasion to celebrate the end of their compulsory schooling and to mark the parting of the ways as they go on their various 16+ pathways.
From open top buses, tractors, scooters, and vintage cars to name but a few, the students arrived in style.
Keeping with the tradition of these events, the students enjoyed a formal entrance with red carpet, coming into school to enjoy canapes and mocktails. They were entertained to live music performed by some of students, before they moved into the marquee for the main event. The Head, together with Pastor Bruno Kondabeka gave speeches before the students enjoyed pizza, bbq food and a hog roast, followed by a visit to the ice cream van! The dance floor was soon crowded, with the evening rounding off with a fantastic firework display.
This event could not have taken place with the incredible hard work of our wonderful Parents & Friends Association.
We hope that all the students had an amazing evening – which they thoroughly deserved after all they have had to go through over the last few years.
