The new Sixth Form Student Leadership Team recently spent a training day together at Chichester Yacht Club. The activities undertaken included an egg drop challenge. Two winners, one loser! Great teamwork was demonstrated by all those involved.
Our Sixth Form students ended their first year of A’Level Spanish a la Española’ con buena comida y buena compañia (with great food and great company) ¡Buena suerte para vuestro año 13 amigos! (Good luck for year 13)!
Computer Science students enjoyed a visit to Bletchley Park where they got a fascinating inside into the work and world of World War II code breakers. It was particularly moving to see the apology letter to Alan Turing and his statue. A fabulous day with some brilliant guides and a very challenging workshop on the Lorenzo machine too.
Year 12 Oxbridge hopefuls had the opportunity of visiting Cambridge University. They were able to look around the colleges and attend a range of subject talks.
To mark the end of the final year of Sixth Form for our Year 13 students, a Summer Leavers’ Ball was arranged for them at Chichester Yacht Club. This was a wonderful opportunity for the year group to get together one last time before leaving Bishop Luffa School. We wish them all the very best for the future.
